In 2011 we have migrated all our national face-to-face Omnibus surveys from paper to our digital handheld terminals which operate via mobile technology (HAPI), in addition to launching a regular online Omnibus survey.  On the Island of Ireland we run 5+ national Omnibus surveys each month either online or face-to-face via our digital terminals. This has delivered a number of key advantages for our clients:

  • Faster Omnibus turnaround from confirmation to delivery of results
  • Greatly enhanced value to our clients
  • Real time interviewing as all interviewing is captured digitally live, using our handheld devices
  • Ability to show and play live advertising – TV, Cinema, Radio, poster, online etc..
  • Automatic questionnaire routing eliminating interviewer administered error
  • Automatic questionnaire download meaning our timelines are significantly shorter and questions or advertising stimulus can be changed at the last minute
  • Results and quotas are monitored centrally in real time allowing for very accurate tracking of progress throughout fieldwork
  • Results are automatically uploaded to the Millward Brown Lansdowne servers guaranteeing total confidentiality and IT security and no data is stored on the devices
  • Results are available immediately after fieldwork ends
  • Nationally representative sample of 1000 adults 15+
  • Margin of error +/-3%

These enhancements to the Omnibus survey are already delivering key benefits to our clients in terms of speed, accuracy and cost. Each month we run our face-to-face surveys to the following timetable:

Friday         Questionnaire Finalisation
Week 1       Monday– Tuesday – Questionnaire Programming
Week 1-3   Wednesday – Wednesday week (14 days) fieldwork
Week 3       Topline data available immediately after interviewing

The process from start to finish can take as little as 2.5 weeks, greatly improving on the speed and technical functions offered by traditional pen and paper Omnibus methods.

Online Omnibus

Our newest offering in the Omnibus suite is our online Omnibus survey which offers a project turnaround time of just one week and is ideally suited to those who need to ask just a handful of questions.

The online Omnibus offers the opportunity to quickly access a nationally representative sample. Each survey is administered to 500 adults aged 16 or over and is representative of this population in terms of age, gender, social class and region.

For speed and accuracy, the Millward Brown Lansdowne Online Omnibus is the ideal research vehicle. We run two online surveys per month.

  • Tuesday - Questionnaire finalisation
  • Thursday - Monday – Interviewing is live
  • Tuesday - Topline results available
